Job Description

General Summary:

This position will work closely with cross-functional brand teams in European region as well as with Global Pricing and Market Access and Global HEOR. This position provides insights into global pricing market access strategies and works cross-functionally to shape the environment for access.

Key Duties And Responsibilities
 

  • Single point of contact in International Pricing and Market Access for one or more assets.
  • As a core member of the International product team, ensures that the pricing and access perspective is adequately represented in all strategic discussions; influences without authority to ensure that appropriate due diligence (scenario planning, analysis, recommendation) takes place in instances where the market access / payer perspective may differ from that of other functions.
  • Maintains a good breadth of up to date payer insights across therapeutic areas and countries to inform Global strategy.
  • Informs Global Pricing and Market Access strategy, acting as the single point of contact in the International region for the assigned assets, providing input into: evidence generation plan (especially RWE projects), support for countries during upcoming line extensions for pricing, access potential and payer value story, regulatory and label considerations.
  • Supports countries to ensure that each brand has an appropriate Market Access plan in place to execute global strategy, in the context of the local payer environment. Ahead of each negotiation, ensures that each country has a negotiation flow in place, with clear value arguments, starting and last-offer prices.
  • Supports pricing and market access operations by assessing and making a recommendation for pricing business cases (i.e., country request for launch price / price reduction), reimbursement dossiers ahead of submission and final reimbursement agreement contracts for the relevant brands
  • Anticipates changes in the payer environment in countries in the European region that may impact pricing and access.
  • Works with Government Affairs & Public Policy, Medical, Patient Engagement, Regulatory, Corporate Communications and others as needed to identify priorities to successfully shape the environment for access, define the plan of action and follow through on execution.
     

Knowledge And Skills
 

  • Significant experience in the pharmaceutical industry ( several years in the industry, including prior market access roles), or in the market access space (e.g., consulting, payer experience)
  • Solid analytical and quantitative skills demonstrated by deliverables in recent position.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully lead cross-functional teams, influencing without direct authority, with the interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and succeed in a highly matrixed environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, strong oral/written presentation skills.
  • Display solid ethics.
  • Self-starter, able to navigate and be successful in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to propose and willingness to experiment new approaches to pricing and market access.
  • A desire to be part of a highly innovative company aimed at transforming the lives of people with serious diseases, their families and society.
  • Prior Market Access experience in above-country (global / regional) Market Access role.
  • Can identify and resolve complex technical, operational and organizational problems.
  • Prior track record of ensuring International Pricing & Market Insights are considered in Global strategy.
  • Has demonstrated to be able to inform strategic planning elements with fact-based input (e.g., pricing and access assumptions in business planning)
  • Has demonstrated to be able to task cross-functional team members with deliverables of importance to shape the environment for access.
     

Education And Experience
 

  • Degree in relevant scientific or business field (e.g., medicine, pharmacy, nursing, economics, business administration).
