Director of Sales Strategy and Operations – eCOA Solutions:

You are responsible for generating, developing and closing opportunities with Contract Research Organizations (CROs) and pharma companies. You will also be leading all revenue creation efforts. You are in charge of spearheading the sales & business intelligence teams and will directly report to the founders. We are looking for someone who is passionate about and has a deep understanding of the healthcare space. You'll play an educational role, introducing your clients to my clients comprehensive digital solution for patient engagement. Our platform improves patient compliance within clinical research and Patient Support Programs to ensure sponsors and CROs have access to high quality real-world data and improved patient retention rates and optimize clinical studies. It is your core goal to drive adoption of my clients as a reliable eCOA vendor across different pharmaceutical companies and CROs.

Responsibilities

  • Generate, develop and close opportunities within the national and regional payer market and large employer market
  • Build a market leading business development team and help to architect their activities in the U.S. from scratch Manage our US operations and potentially grow into an executive role in the company
  • Create a personal sales strategy/business plan that supports the comapnys overarching corporate goals and strategies
  • Research target opportunities and generate account leads; build a robust pipeline to bring large enterprise deals across the finish line
  • Build the business case for C-level executives and decision makers at large organizations for the company
  • Build strong customer relationships and trust within the various markets health plans and pharmacy benefits managers, health insurance brokers, health benefit consultants and the HR/Benefits leadership within corporate companies
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer needs, priorities and pain points and work cross-functionally to provide key market feedback on client needs to your team
  • Build relationships with the customer team within the client to develop a communication launch plan, provide customized materials and set the site up for success
  • Assure customer satisfaction and manage timely issue resolution
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and develop sales tracking and CRM tools
  • Build and maintain a deep and comprehensive familiarity with the company Product and future product pipelines
  • Establish the company as a leading eCOA solutions provider in EU (scaling up on a global scale)

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in sales, 2+ in B2B SaaS Sales Operations/Strategy (Prior work experience within a pharmaceutical/medical device company/Contract Research Organization is required; a digital health startup or eCOA/EDC vendor would be a plus) 
  • Remote team management experience
  • Sales management experience in a digital health startup, payer, or other relevant experience
  • Bachelor's degree required, technical or business-related field preferred; A life sciences degree is a plus 
  • Proficiency with Salesforce & other major CRM tools 
  • Proficiency with Google Suite and Microsoft Office 
  • Deep understanding of the clinical trials and pharmaceuticals/CRO market
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including proven comfort and finesse communicating with senior leadership teams
  • Ability to deliver engaging sales and product demos, in small and large group settings
  • A demonstrated ability to work under uncertain conditions and go-to-market of new products
  • Strong prospecting, cold-calling, lead generation and closing skills
  • Strong prioritization, time management and organizational skills
  • The ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, metric-driven environment and high tolerance for ambiguity          Enthusiasm for business travel
